Five Hour Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. cubed beef
    1 c. sliced carrots
    1 large potato, cubed
    2 medium onions, chopped coarsely
    1 can tomato, celery or mushroom soup
    1 small can peas or green beans, drained
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Brown beef.
    In a large casserole, combine rest of ingredients.
    Recipe can be doubled.
    Bake for 5 hours at 275\u00b0, covered.
    Serves 4 to 6.
