Old Leathergut Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. ground beef
2 lb. round steak (1/2-inch squares)
2 c. chopped onion
5 Tbsp. oil
2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
1 can beef broth
1 tsp. yellow cornmeal
1 can red kidney beans
1 tsp. garlic powder
8 tsp. chili powder
2 Tbsp. oregano
1 Tbsp. salt
2 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. crushed red peppers
1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
1 tsp. black pepper
1 can beer
Preparation

Brown meats and drain.
Cook for 3 hours; cool for 12 hours, then serve.
Yields 1 gallon.
