Old-Fashioned Bread Dressing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. diced celery
1 c. finely chopped onion
1 c. oleo
4 qt. dried bread crumbs (3 to 4 day old bread is best)
1 Tbsp. salt
2 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 to 2 c. chicken or turkey broth, milk or water
Preparation

Cook celery and onion in oleo over low heat, stirring occasionally until onion is tender but not brown.
Blend in dried bread and seasonings; toss lightly.
Add more seasonings if desired.
Pour broth or milk or water over mixture.
Makes enough to stuff a 14 to 18 pound turkey.
