Bean Soup From The Sea Of Galilee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 onion
    3 Tbsp. oil
    1 can beef broth
    3 garlic cloves, minced
    dash of pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    1 small can tomato paste
    1 can vegetarian beans or cooked Great Northern beans
Preparation
    Chop onion and fry lightly in oil just golden brown.
    Transfer to a large pot, along with the oil.
    Add beef broth, beans, tomato paste, minced garlic, pepper, salt and parsley.
    Add 2 cans of water.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and cook for 20 minutes. Serve hot.
    Serve with pita bread dipped in it.
    This makes a hearty soup.
