Fresh Apple Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 can chunk pineapple (20 oz.)
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. cold water
1 c. mayonnaise
8 c. unpeeled, chopped apples
2 c. seedless green grapes
1 to 2 tsp. poppy seed
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans, toasted
Preparation

Drain pineapple; reserve juice.
Mix juice, sugar, butter and lemon juice in small saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a boil.
Combine cornstarch and water; stir well.
Add cornstarch to the juice mixture, stirring until this becomes thick and bubbly.
Remove from heat; cover and chill.
After chilling, stir in mayonnaise.
