Captain'S Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sifted cake flour
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 sq. (2 oz.) unsweetened chocolate, melted
    1/3 c. shortening
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Sift together first 3 ingredients.
    Melt chocolate, add shortening, stir until smooth.
    Stir sugar into beaten eggs.
    Stir in chocolate mixture.
    Add flour mixture and stir.
    Add milk, vanilla and walnuts; stir.
    Pour into greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake 1 hour.
    Remove from pan.
    Cut into bars.
