Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 clove garlic
    1 large onion, sliced
    2 Tbsp. oil
    4 to 5 lb. chicken
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 c. hot water
    1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
    1/2 c. tart red wine
Preparation
    Cook garlic and onion in oil.
    Add chicken and brown.
    Combine paste, water, salt and pepper; pour over chicken.
    Cover and cook over low heat until tender, 60 minutes.
    Add mushrooms and wine.
