Blue Ribbon Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch of ground nutmeg
2 c. unsalted butter, at room temperature
3 c. granulated sugar
6 large eggs, at room temperature
2 tsp. lemon extract or vanilla or 1 tsp. each
1 c. milk, at room temperature
Preparation

Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and nutmeg.
Set aside.
Cream butter until light and fluffy.
Add sugar gradually, creaming all the while.
Be sure to add sugar very slowly and beat hard.
Add eggs gradually.
Add all these ingredients to the flour, salt, baking powder and nutmeg. Beat thoroughly.
