Ingredients

1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. (1 stick) margarine, softened
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. quick-cooking oats
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chips
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Beat sugars, margarine, peanut butter, vanilla and egg in medium bowl with wooden spoon (plastic is okay, too!) until creamy and well blended.
Mix in flour and oats.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 1 1/2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake exactly 10 minutes.
Allow to cool 1 to 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
