Creamy Mushroom Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. margarine or butter
    1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2/3 c. milk
    1/2 c. dairy sour cream or plain yogurt
Preparation
    In a medium saucepan, cook mushrooms and onion in margarine until tender.
    Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
    Stir in milk all at once.
    Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
    Cook and stir 1 minute more.
    Stir in sour cream.
    Heat through, but do not boil.
    Serve with beef or poultry.
    Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
