Macaroni Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. macaroni
    3/4 c. green pepper
    3/4 c. cucumber
    1 c. celery
    3 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. tarragon vinegar
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1 large tomato, cut in wedges
Preparation
    Cook macaroni as directed; cool and drain.
    Combine macaroni, green pepper, cucumbers, celery and hard-cooked eggs.
    Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt and chill.
    Melt butter in small saucepan; add flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
    Combine egg and vinegar; add to butter and flour mixture.
    Cook, stirring constantly until thickened.
    Cool slightly and add mayonnaise.
    Toss dressing and macaroni mixture.
    Garnish with tomato wedges.
