Candied Fruitcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates
1 lb. candied cherries
1 lb. candied pineapple (yellow)
8 c. pecans
2 c. sifted flour (all-purpose)
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 eggs
1 c. sugar
Preparation

Cut dates, pineapple, cherries and pecans in large pieces. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Beat eggs and gradually beat in sugar and flour mixture.
Combine with fruit. Cover with brown paper.
Bake at 275\u00b0 for 1 hour and 30 minutes. When done and cooled off, brush with white Karo syrup.
Makes 2 cakes.
