Potato Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, well beaten
    2 c. potatoes, grated
    milk
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. minced onion
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook potatoes almost done, and then grate.
    Combine with egg, flour and enough milk to make a stiff batter.
    Add onion and seasonings; form into cakes.
    Using frying pan, cook in hot fat until golden brown and crisp.
