German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. bacon
3/4 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1/2 c. vinegar
6 c. cooked potatoes, sliced
2 hard-boiled eggs, diced
Preparation

Cook bacon until crisp; drain and crumble.
Reserve fat. Combine reserved fat from bacon with sugar, salt, celery seed and vinegar until sugar is dissolved.
Combine potatoes, bacon, onions and eggs in a large bowl, tossing thoroughly.
Pour vinegar-fat mixture over top and toss lightly until potatoes are completely coated.
