Grandma'S Buttermilk Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Blend dry mixture and shortening using your fingers.
    Add buttermilk and mix quickly (may take more or less, depending on thickness of buttermilk).
    Dough should not be too dry or sticky.
    Turn out on floured surface; sprinkle flour on top and pat to 1/2-inch thick with hands.
    Cut with biscuit cutter.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Makes about 8 biscuits.
