Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 unbeaten egg
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. shortening, filled to 1 c. with boiling water
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes in a greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
