Vanilla Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 c. light or table cream
    4 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Scald milk.
    Add the sugar and salt to the milk; stir until both are thoroughly dissolved.
    Add the cream.
    Stir in the vanilla.
    Cool.
    Turn into freezer.
    Makes 2 quarts.
    Add your favorite flavorings, such as:
    bananas for banana ice cream or maraschino cherries (chopped up with the juice) for cherry flavoring.
