Spiced Nuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. pecans
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Toast pecans in a slow oven.
    Mix other ingredients in 2 or 3-quart boiler.
    Cover (this is the secret).
    Let it come to a good boil.
    Remove cover and cook to soft candy stage.
    Stir in and coat toasted nuts.
    Pour out on waxed paper and separate while hot.
