Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. raw Spanish peanuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Stir together sugar, corn syrup and peanuts in 2-quart bowl. Cook for 4 minutes on high.
    Stir well. Cook for 4 minutes longer. Add butter and vanilla.
    Stir well.
    Cook 1 to 2 minutes more. Watch carefully as it will scorch if overcooked.
    Add baking soda and stir until light and foamy.
    Pour at once into buttered cookie sheet. Cool at least 30 minutes.
