Indian Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. cornmeal
    4 1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Scald 3 1/2 cups milk over direct heat.
    Mix cornmeal with remaining cup milk.
    Add to scalded milk, stirring constantly. Place over boiling water (use double boiler) and cook 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
    Add margarine, molasses, salt, sugar and cinnamon.
    Pour into greased baking dish (1 1/2-quart size).
    Bake for 1 1/2 hours at 325\u00b0.
    Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
