Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. of lard or peanut oil
    1 head of red cabbage, cored and shredded
    1 apple, peeled and diced
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Melt the lard, or use oil, in a large pot.
    Add the cabbage and the apple to the pot and stir to mix with the oil.
    Cover the pot and cook over medium low heat for about 45 minutes.
    Stir occasionally.
    Add salt and pepper, mix.
    Add the vinegar and stir well.
