Black Walnut Or Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    3/4 c. butter or oleo
    3 eggs
    1 1/4 c. milk
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla or walnut extract
    3/4 c. nuts or coconut (measure in cup)
Preparation
    Cream butter or oleo well; add sugar gradually.
    Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well until mixture is creamy.
    Stir dry ingredients together and add to mixture alternately with milk. Add vanilla, then add nuts or coconut and beat well.
    Bake in 2 (9-inch) pans, well-greased and floured, 25 to 30 minutes.
    Do not overbake.

    until golden brown, then turn to 350\u00b0.
