Toffee Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. sweet chocolate
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg yolk, vanilla, flour and salt.
Blend until moist.
Spread into a 9 x 12-inch greased pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Spread chocolate while warm. Sprinkle with nuts.
