Mock Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    20 Ritz crackers
    nutmeg and cinnamon
    oleo and sugar
Preparation
    Mix water, sugar and cream of tartar in pot.
    Let come to boil.
    Add crackers; do not stir!
    Set aside and cook for 15 minutes.
    Pour into 9-inch unbaked pie crust; sprinkle with spices and sugar.
    Dot with oleo generously.
    Put top on pie.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
