    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. corn meal (yellow)
    4 oz. chili powder
    corn meal

Take about 1 tablespoon at a time.
Roll in corn meal and wrap in papers especially for tamales.
Wet papers first so they won't be so stiff.
Put all the tamales in a turkey pan, layering in opposite directions.
Boil about 5 quarts of water and add 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce and 2 ounces chili powder.
Pour over tamales and simmer 2 hours with cover on.
Put the turkey pan across 2 burners on top of stove.
    Makes 85 to 100 tamales.
