Spicy Filled Peaches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 peach halves (a 29 oz. can yields about 10 halves)
    1/4 c. vinegar
    4 whole cloves
    cinnamon sticks
    1/2 c. each: chopped almonds, chopped raisins and chopped shredded coconut
    6 diced candied cherries
Preparation
    Drain syrup from peaches and boil 1/2 cup syrup with vinegar, cloves and 2-inch piece of cinnamon stick about 5 minutes. (There will be about 1/3 cup liquid.) Mix almonds, raisins, coconut, cherries and 1/4 cup cooked liquid and let stand about 10 minutes. Pour remaining liquid over peach halves. Put 2 peach halves together with spoonful of nut mixture in center and put a cinnamon stick through all. Chill until serving time.
