Sweet Pickle Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    fresh, firm, medium cucumbers
    3 3/4 c. vinegar
    3 Tbsp. salt
    4 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    3 c. sugar
    4 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    3/4 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Use fresh, firm, medium cucumbers, wash them and cut them into sticks. Pour boiling water over them and let stand overnight. Next morning, pack solidly in jars and make solution with remaining ingredients.
    Bring solution to boil and boil for 5 minutes.
    Pour while boiling over cucumbers in jar.
    Put on caps, screwing bands tight.
    Process in boiling water bath for 5 minutes.
    Makes 6 pints.
