Chili Con Queso - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 1/2 c. fresh or canned tomatoes, drained and chopped
    jalapenos to taste
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 lb. sharp cheese, grated
Preparation
    Saute onion in shortening until transparent.
    Add drained tomatoes and spices.
    Stir in cheese and continue to cook over low heat until mixture is well blended.
    This dip must be served quite hot.
    Serve with nacho chips.
