Aunt Fanny'S Baked Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. yellow summer squash
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. to 3/4 c. bread or cracker crumbs
    2 eggs
    1 stick margarine
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 c. sharp cheese, grated
Preparation
    Wash and cut up squash and onion.
    Boil until tender; drain thoroughly, then mash.
    Add all ingredients, except half of margarine, to squash.
    Melt remaining margarine.
    Pour mixture into baking dish and sprinkle with crumbs.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 1 hour or until brown.
