Berry Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar, divided
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, divided
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1 qt. fresh blackberries or blueberries
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon butter in a medium mixing bowl; beat well.
    Combine flour, baking powder and salt; mix well.
    Add flour mixture to sugar mixture and mix well.
    Stir in milk until dry ingredients are moistened.
    Spread mixture evenly in bottom of a greased 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Cover dough with berries; sprinkle with remaining sugar.
    Dot with remaining butter.
    Pour boiling water over berries.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Yields 6 servings.
