Aunt Soph'S 1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour, sifted
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
    Beat in one egg at a time until lemon colored and thick.
    Stir in part of flour; beat.
    Stir in a little milk.
    Stir in a little flour with the baking powder added, then beat in milk.
    Add vanilla; beat.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until middle springs back to touch (cupcakes at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes, loaf pans at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or layer pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 35 minutes).
