Betty'S Cherry Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. butter flavoring
1/2 c. margarine
1 3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Beat well.
Add eggs, one at a time. Sift and add flour, baking powder and salt.
Spread 3/4 of mixture in greased 10 x 15-inch pan.
Spread cherry pie filling over mixture.
Spoon remaining batter in \"islands\" over filling.
Bake for 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Drizzle thin powdered sugar icing over bars while still warm.
