Ingredients

4 eggs, separated
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 1/4 c. milk
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. melted butter
dash of cardamom
Preparation

Beat egg yolks, sugar and salt together; add flour and milk, then fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Batter will be thin; have skillet or griddle slightly greased and hot.
Pour enough batter to barely cover the bottom; tip and swirl the pan to spread the batter and keep the layer thin.
Turn as for hot cakes.
