Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Karo syrup
    1 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. raw peanuts
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine Karo syrup, sugar and water.
    Stir and cook to hard ball.
    Add peanuts and cook to golden brown (stir constantly and watch closely).
    Set off fire.
    Add baking soda, butter and vanilla and stir well.
    Pour onto 2 buttered pans.
    Spread out in center of pans.
    Begin to pull from edges after 1 minute.
    Pull thin and cool.
