Peanut Butter Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. water
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. crunchy peanut butter
Preparation
    Cream shortening; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs and water, beating well.
    Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture.
    Stir in peanut butter. Shape in 1-inch balls.
    Place 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Dip a fork in water to flatten cookies to 1/4-inch in a crisscross pattern.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Remove to wire rack.
    Cool completely.
    Yields about 8 dozen.
