Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak
    3 Tbsp. fat
    1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
    1 1/2 c. sliced sweet onion
    3/4 c. tomato catsup
    3 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    salt and pepper to taste
    flour to brown steak
Preparation
    Salt and pepper steak generously.
    Beat in as much flour as steak will take.
    Brown in 3 tablespoons fat. Pour sliced sweet onion and bell pepper over steak.
    Mix together catsup, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce.
    Pour over onions.
    Cover.
    Bake for 45 minutes in moderate oven (300\u00b0 to 350\u00b0).
    Then add tomatoes.
    Cook until steak is very tender.
    Total cooking time is approximately 1 1/2 hours.
