Creole Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 1/4 c. tomatoes
    1 c. ground beef or pork (raw or cooked)
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    1/2 c. corn meal
    1 onion, chopped
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/3 c. canned corn
Preparation
    Slowly fry onions in shortening; add tomatoes when hot.
    Stir in corn meal.
    Cook and stir 10 minutes.
    Remove from fire; stir in all other ingredients.
    Pour into a greased pan and bake in moderate oven at 325\u00b0 for about 45 minutes.
