Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 German chocolate cake mix
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    3/4 c. melted butter
    14 oz. pkg. caramels
    1/3 c. evaporated milk
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
    6 oz. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Disregard instructions on cake mix.
    Mix first 3 ingredients. Pour one-half of batter into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 5 minutes.
    It will be puffy and gooey.
