1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. butter or shortening
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift flour and measure; add baking powder, salt and sift dry ingredients three times.
    Cream butter and sugar thoroughly.
    Add well beaten eggs.
    Add 1/3 flour mixture alternately with half the milk, ending with flour.
    Beat after each addition until smooth. Pour into three 9-inch greased and floured pans.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Use icing of your choice.
