Mrs. Bower'S Nobby Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. margarine
1 egg
3 c. diced apples
1/4 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soa
1 c. sifted flour

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; add beaten egg.
Mix well.
Add diced apples, nuts and vanilla and then sifted dry ingredients. Grease and flour 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 40 to 45 minutes.
Serve hot or cold with whipped cream.
