Caramel Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 stick margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    Cool Whip (optional)
Preparation
    Mix sugars and flour together; stir in water.
    Bring to a boil and cook until thick and clear, about 5 to 10 minutes.
    Remove from heat; add margarine and vanilla.
    Stir until margarine is melted.
    Let cook a little (15 to 20 minutes) and pour over hot cake.
    Can top with Cool Whip.
    Good on raw apple cake.
