Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. Quaker oats
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. allspice
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oats.
    Cover and let stand 20 minutes. Beat Crisco until creamy.
    Gradually add sugars until fluffy. Blend in vanilla and eggs.
    Add oats mixture; mix well.
    Sift together flour, soda, cinnamon, salt and allspice.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Pour batter into well-greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until brown.
