Pear Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

7 c. pears
1 c. green pepper
2 sweet red peppers
1 1/2 c. white onions
2 1/2 c. vinegar
1 Tbsp. salt
1 Tbsp. allspice
1 Tbsp. celery seed
1 Tbsp. turmeric
1 c. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. dry mustard
Preparation

Wash and pare pears; cut in quarters.
Wash and cut open peppers; remove seeds.
Peel onions.
Run pears, peppers and onions through food chopper.
Place in large kettle.
Add sugar, salt, turmeric and spice.
Blend thoroughly.
Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer slowly for 30 minutes.
Pack hot in pints.
