Mincemeat Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 box seedless raisins
1 pkg. mincemeat
3 c. water
2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. shortening or butter
1 1/3 c. sugar
3 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Bring to a boil the raisins, mincemeat and water. Let cool and add soda. Cream together sugar and shortening. Add eggs. Combine the two mixtures, then add flour, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Fold in nuts. Use large tube pan. Bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours at 300\u00b0.
