Ingredients

1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. almond extract
1 egg yolk
1 c. flour
dash of salt
Preparation

In a small bowl, beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg yolk.
Stir in flour and salt.
Mix well.
Add extract.
Mix again.
Chill 1 hour.
Shape into 2 dozen one-inch balls.
Place in tiny ungreased muffin cup.
Can use small paper cups.
Press dough on bottom and sides of cup.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
Cool slightly in pan.
Remove carefully and cool well.
Fill with desired filling.
