Sweetheart Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. crushed pineapple
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. gelatin, dissolved in 1/4 c. water
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
12 maraschino cherries
2 Tbsp. maraschino cherry juice
1 pkg. cream cheese
1/2 pt. whipping cream
Preparation

Place pineapple and sugar in a pan and bring to a boil.
Turn off, then add gelatin, lemon juice, cherries, cherry juice and cream cheese, cut into pieces.
Stir together.
Place in refrigerator until it is set but not real stiff.
Whip the cream to soft peaks.
Then fold together with rest of ingredients.
