Old Mexico Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. beef stew meat, cubed
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 (1 lb.) can kidney beans
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
Preparation
    1926 Method:
    Brown meat in 2 tablespoons oil.
    Add onion and cook until tender.
    Add remaining ingredients and 1/2 cup water. Stir, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally; or place all in crock-pot.
    Mix well and cover.
    Cook on low 8 to 10 hours (high 4 to 5 hours).
