Tomatoes Country Style - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 garlic clove
    1/4 c. minced parsley
    1/4 t. salt
    8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 t. chopped fresh, or 1/2 t. basil
    4 large beefsteak or large tomatoes
    1/2 c. all purpose flour
    1 egg beaten with 1 T. milk
    2/3 c. dried bread crumbs
    3 T. butter
    3 T. olive oil
    Fresh basil or parsley, optional
Preparation
    Beat together garlic, salt, and basil (if desired).
    Cut tomatoes into 12 even slices about 1/2 in. thick.
    Spread 6 slices with about 2 T. of softened cream cheese then top with remaining slices to make 6 sandwiches.
    Dip each in flour then egg mixture and finally in crumbs.
    Fry on both sides over medium heat in mixture of butter and olive oil until brown.
    Garnish with parsley if desired.
