Smashed Potato Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. potatoes (preferably red)
    small onion, chopped fine
    2 slices bacon
    1/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 egg
    1 c. crushed barbecue potato chips
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Peel potatoes and cut in halves.
    Boil until tender (20 minutes); drain.
    Cook bacon in microwave until crisp; crumble into fine pieces.
