Homemade Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 potatoes, cut up
    2 leeks, cut up (optional)
    2 small onions, chopped
    1 to 2 carrots, pared and sliced
    1 stalk celery, sliced
    4 chicken bouillon cubes
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    5 c. water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    1/3 c. butter
    1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
    chopped chives (optional)
Preparation
    Put all ingredients (except evaporated milk and chives) into crock-pot.
    Cover and cook on low 10 to 12 hours (high 3 to 4 hours).
    Stir in evaporated milk during last hour.
    Mash potatoes or cream in blender before serving.
    Serve topped with chives, if desired.
